Family Art Project: Hearts and Flowers, Love for Belugas at Wave Hill

Wave Hill is spreading love "like a pod of belugas!" Families can listen to touching tales about these small, gentle, gray-white whales, then make a stuffed beluga sock-puppet for a heartwarming Valentine’s gift. Then make a special notecard crafted from an abundance of hearts and paper flowers, or even decorate it with some arctic ice or ocean waves. Free, and admission to the grounds is free until noon.

Mystery Cards, Seed Pods & Colorbots at CMOM

The Children's Museum of Manhattan will be in the Valentine's spirit the weekend before the big day and on Valentine's Day itself. 

Kids can use pop-up book making techniques to create a Valentine’s Day Card that really pops and heart-shaped seed bombs. Kids ages six and up can sign up to make valentines with motorized robots they help make! (Register in the lobby one-hour ahead of time.)
