What’s on your summer bucket list?
A weekend escape with my husband to amangiri and planting a vegetable garden with Arabella.
Is there a tourist attraction you actually like taking your kids to?
Trump Tower! The Trump Ice Cream Parlor is always a huge hit. Arabella likes strawberry ice cream, or better known as “pink” ice-cream
Your go-to playground is:
We view Central Park as our playground–it provides endless fun. The Heckscher playground is amazing, but we prefer just walking around and exploring.
Your favorite indoor play space is:
My closet! Arabella seems magnetically drawn to my shoes!
Are there any family-friendly local spots that you’ve discovered that are off-the-beaten path or hidden gems?
I love the carousel in central park.
Tell us your fave splurge-worthy activity with the kids in the city. In that same vein, can you dish on your most cherished family-friendly activity that doesn’t break the bank?
A Broadway show. Jared just took Arabella to Cinderella and she loved it. Also, the NY Botanical Gardens in the Spring is an incredible way to spend an afternoon.
Best kids shop to score fashionable duds is:
My go to is Zara Kids, but if I am going for high end fashion, Barney’s has a great kids department and it’s close to home and the office.
If you had to spend an afternoon in one neighborhood (that’s not your own) where would you go and why?
We love DUMBO. It is an amazing neighborhood for locals, tourists and families alike. From Jane’s Carousel to Juliana’s Pizza to a croissant and cappuccino at Almondine, it is the perfect blend of enjoyment for us and the kids.
What’s your favorite thing about being a NYC mom?
All the amazing things to do with the kids in my downtime, from the museums to the parks and theaters. The city is like a gigantic playground for culture and creativity.
