As we begin to thaw out from winter’s unrelenting brutality (hopefully!), there are six terrific concerts for you to enjoy alongside your kids featuring a mix of local and out-of-town bands, and one brilliant evening of youthful song and discussion with a pair of musical heavyweights for you to have fun sans children.
When: Sat., Mar. 8, 11 a.m.
Where: Gaspar Auditorium at Rockefeller University, 230 York Ave., Upper East Side
Cost: $10 at the door (no advance tickets)
The city's charming pop-rock frontwoman will trot out a new multi-intrumentalist band member at this concert and play many of the new songs from her successfully Kickstarter-ed new album The Apple Tree and the Honey Bee. You'll also be treated to a number of Koral's hits to get your kids ready for the much needed warmth of springtime, and maybe, if you're lucky, she'll do her sweet version of The Avett Brothers' Kick Drum Heart.
It’s another month of awesome concerts; will you be attending any with your little rock stars?
