Burn Off Energy in St. Vartan's Park

Murray Hill kids know this large playground as “The Big Park” — the place for after school meet-ups, weekend fun, birthday parties, ball games and just getting out of the apartment and hanging with friends. Spread over 2.76 acres, the park caters to a range of ages from toddlers (mini slides and bucket swings) to grade-schoolers (playground structures, bars and rings) to older kids (balance beams and tire swings). There are also spinning contraptions, climbing structures, a central amphitheater that doubles as a mini water park in the summer, as well as restrooms, picnic tables. For sports, there's an enclosed ball field area for organized games and bike-riding and another enclosed area for basketball, handball and tennis.
