Go to the Top of the Empire State Building

What's more New York than the building named after our state: The Empire State Building? True, when you think of this 103-story landmark, tourist is probably the first thing that comes to mind. But it’s fun for locals, too. Located on the southwestern edge of Murray Hill, the ESB features holiday events, as well as the Dare to Dream Exhibit on the 80th floor. It showcases reproductions of nostalgic period photos, architectural renderings, construction notes, period documents and biographies of many of the 3,400 workers who helped build the ESB. On cold days, catch the views from the indoor viewing galleries that are located at the 86th and 102nd floor observatories.
