We get it, Brooklyn. You’ve got a lot going on. So much so that it’s hard to keep up with all the kid-friendly places for jumping and climbing, getting mucky with paints and clay, quiet reading, shopping for some rainbow bling  or filling empty tummies with something delicious. But we try! Click through for 9 fresh places just in Brownstone Brooklyn alone.

For Rainbows, Vintage-inspired Tees and All Things Awesome: Disco

Warning: If you have a kid who likes sparkly things, rainbows, unicorns and the like, it could be very hard to make it out of Disco without buying something. (Heck, we wanted everything in there.) The sister store of Picnic, a Cobble Hill shop catering to the six and younger set, Disco's interior looks like the love child of the 70s, the 80s and Lisa Frank threw up all over it. (And that's high praise from us.) Targeted to kids seven to 14, this 325-foot-square shop is stocked with unicorn snot lip gloss, bedazzled keychains of rainbows, mermaids and emojis, a curated selection of tops, bottoms, bathrobes with ears, glitter bath bombs made by tween entrepreneurs, adorable trendy jewelry, pillows in the form of ice cream sandwiches with multi-color sprinkles, etc., etc., etc. It even features a small book section with out-of-the-ordinary and girl power titles. (The entire original Topps Star Wars sticker collection bound in book form! )
