We hope you’re hungry! Two mouth-watering culinary events are on tap this weekend – one outdoor tour for your tastebuds to experience the signature dishes of Tribeca’s top chefs (pictured) and another at Brooklyn’s Grand Army Plaza featuring more than a dozen of the city’s best food trucks. You also have two fun (and free!) music and arts festivals to choose from – one celebrates kids and the other is all about moms! Or you could watch sheep being sheared at Leffert’s Historic House’s annual Fleece Festival. If you’re feeling charitable, get the family together for Central Park’s volunteer clean up day. And don’t forget, May is National Bike Month, so be sure to stop be the Brooklyn Bike Jumble to check out the plethora of new and used bikes and accessories.


9th Annual Mamapalooza Extravaganza
Celebrate all of the moms of NYC with your family at this annual music and arts festival. Family Volunteer Day
If you love Central Park here’s your chance to give back – as a family. All of you (over age 4) can pitch in to do some spring cleaning in the park. Fleece Festival
It’s time for the sheep of the Leffert’s Historic House to get their annual haircut, which means you’re in for an afternoon filled with lots of wild and wooly fun!
