National Girls and Women in Sports Day
Today is National Girls and Women in Sports Day, an annual event honoring female atheletes. Kids can participate in hands on athletic and health activities ranging from fencing and ice hockey with Columbia University teams, a handball clinic, rhythmic gymnastics and wheelchair basketball. Family Purim Party Featuring the Macaroons
Celebrate Purim with one of the best Jewish kindie bands around – The Macaroons. They’ll sing their irresistible melodies and pop-rock hooks at a 2 p.m. concert. Make a Human Skyline
After kids see the SKY HIGH & the Logic of Luxury exhibit at the Skyscraper Museum, they can work with other kids to create a city skyline using their silhouettes. Imagine Dragons Theater Workshop
No, not those Imagine Dragons, but a workshop to help kids imagine dragons for a new original play called Dragon Story. Students can meet and play with writers, directors and performers to help shape the world of dragons through puppetry, storytelling, acting and creative play.
