It may be mid January, but thankfully there’s no need to have those winter blues when good ol’ NYC has so many ways to have fun no matter what the weather. Meet the museum’s newest resident dinosaur, bundle up and cruise the harbor in search of seals and birds, or test your family’s knowledge at a trivia game show. Whether you’re looking to warm up indoors or in need of a little fresh air, we’ve got your family’s weekend covered.

Opening Weekend: Welcome the Titanosaur
Be the first to welcome the museum’s newest dinosaur, a 122-foot long titansour. This species is so new that it has not even been formally named by the paleontologists who discovered it. You’ll know which one we’re talking about when you get there because this dinosaur is so big it doesn’t quite fit in its new home. You’ll see its head peeking out of the exhibit room welcoming visitors. Fri.-Sun. 10 a.m.-5:45 p.m. Upper West Side. Free with museum admission ($22/adult; $12.50/child 2-12; children under 2 are free). All ages. Event details.
