NYBG Reopens
Discover spectacular gardens and collections across 250 acres, walk the shaded trails of the old-growth forest, relax near a sparkling natural waterfall in the Bronx River or stroll along the Native Plant Garden’s breezy promenade and meadow. Advance ticket reservations are required.
Smorg to Go
Smorgasburg’s large outdoor markets remain on hold until they can reopen safely, but they have pivoted to a new takeout-only format, Smorg To Go! 10 of your favorite Smorgasburg vendors, rotating every week, will take your orders at SmarterTakeOut.
Chicago’s Lollapalooza
The fest will honor the beloved summer tradition by bringing Chicago, and the world, live music via a live stream. The weekend-long virtual event will include performances from around the city and archived, never-before-seen footage from Lollapalooza in Chicago and around the world.
Dessert Goals Festival
Traditionally hosted in New York & LA, the family-friendly digital event will bring people together nationwide to experience Dessert Goals in a whole new way. Two days of exciting original content, both live and pre-recorded, will include virtual panels, baking demos with celebrated chefs, a birthday celebration, an energizing morning workout class, family-friendly activities, a keynote speech, and much more.
Gigantic Bike Festival Goes Online
Activities will span the month of August and will include livestreams from local bands, weekly bike challenges, the 2020 jersey and plenty of swag.
Make Art at Home: Sonomi
SONOMI KOBAYASHI is a New York-based artist from Japan, who studied painting, sculpture, and printmaking at the Art Students League of New York. Join her from her studio in Bushwick, Brooklyn for an at-home art session.
Sea Chanteys and Maritime Music
Listen in, lead or request a song, and belt out the choruses for your neighbors to hear during a Virtual Chantey Sing.
Nurturing Our Nests
Create your own clay and plant pulp sculptures of nests modelled after the expert home-making of swallows, orioles, kingfishers, wasps and termites.
