Central Park is so massive and multifaceted that even lifelong New Yorkers can still learn a thing or two about its offerings and lore. Not surprisingly, this public green has served as the setting and inspiration for literary works written for all ages. A riff on the most famous "Good Night" book of them all ("Good night mush," anyone?) this board book visits many of Central Park's most famous sites, including the zoo, Lasker Rink and Conservatory Garden. This book is a great choice for reading after you and the kids have visited several park destinations, as it then serves as a fun tour of familiar local landmarks. (It will take a few visits to cover all of them — it's a big park!)
