Even if you missed the Mermaid Parade (it was June 17, and a pretty soggy affair), there’s still plenty of reasons to head to seaside fun spot Coney Island. In addition to the Cyclone celebrating a landmark birthday (90!) with a free boffo block party, you’ll also find new rides, new eats, new art — and all the old sun and sand favorites, too. Click through to see what’s happening on, and along, the boardwalk!

Eat, Drink & Be Merry!

Suds abound in Coney Island—and not just in the surf. The Steeplechase Beer Garden offers craft beer, local artisanal food, and live entertainment. Find a spot at one of the many picnic tables or on the large front terrace and enjoy! It joins smash-hit Innovation Brewery of the Coney Island Brewing Co., which likewise has top-notch crafts on tap and offers free tours and growlers to go.

For additional traditional beach fare—burgers and dogs—don’t miss NYC’s first Wahlburgers, featuring 300 indoor, outdoor, and rooftop seats. And for much-needed A/C and kid-favorites, head to the brand new IHOP on Surf Ave.
