Even if you missed the Mermaid Parade (it was June 17, and a pretty soggy affair), there’s still plenty of reasons to head to seaside fun spot Coney Island. In addition to the Cyclone celebrating a landmark birthday (90!) with a free boffo block party, you’ll also find new rides, new eats, new art — and all the old sun and sand favorites, too. Click through to see what’s happening on, and along, the boardwalk!

See the Cyclones in Action

Watching the Brooklyn Cyclones play at MCU Park on a summer afternoon is an experience to be enjoyed by all. And it won’t hurt your wallet: tickets range from $10 to $17 depending on the seat location. Games run all summer long, and are a great way to spend the afternoon even if you’re not a baseball fan thanks to all the special events the Cyclones have planned. Certain events let kids run the bases (while still others let anyone do it, should you want to make a lap yourself). Come early for the pre-show presentations and giveaways, or stay late for post-show fireworks when scheduled.
