It might not be possible to welcome a rescued dog into your home, but you can easily help shelter dogs by bringing home an adorable stuffed animal thanks to Operation ResCUTE.
Non-profit organization Operation ResCUTE has come up with an ingenious way to raise funds to help shelter dogs. The group has created stuffed animals which look like real rescue dogs, complete with names and backstories detailed in an accompanying children’s book. For each stuffed animal and book set that is purchased, Operation ResCUTE donates 100 percent of the profits to help rescued dogs find homes.

Not only do these adorable dogs help real animals while giving you something cozy to snuggle up with, but the stories and plushes are also intended to help a new generation of young pet owners understand the importance of adopting pets in need of a home.
