Whether you play with the bumpers up or down, few things can bring a smile to our kid’s face like the crack of a bowling ball and that first strike. If it’s been awhile since you last laced up a pair of slippery bowling shoes, this summer is the perfect opportunity to take your baby bowlers to a local alley and play a few games. Thanks to Kids Bowl Free, you can entertain the whole family on a budget and stay active summer long.

What is Kids Bowl Free?
Since 2007, Kids Bowl Free, has coordinated with bowling centers across North America and Canada to offer free bowling for more than two million children and 700,000 families every summer. With over 1,200 participating bowling centers all across the country, kids can work on their bowling skills, stay active, and have fun all without having to spend a dime. Sweet!

How Does it Work?
All you have to do to participate is register via your center at kidsbowlfree.com. Once a week on Sundays, you’ll receive vouchers good for the same center, and they’ll be good for kids to play two free bowling games a day, all summer long.

A quick search on their website will show all the participating alleys in your neighborhood, so you can organize bowling leagues, plan a play date, or just find an excuse to put down the Wii remote and knock down some pins on the real hardwood lanes. Specific details like shoe rentals, dates and age limits can be found on the center’s registration page.

Parents Can Bowl Too
Who says kids get to have all the fun? Once you’ve enrolled into the Kids Bowl Free Program, you can purchase the Family Pass and play 2 games per person per day. Family Pass start at $24.95 and cover up to 4 adults.

Get out there are start working on your backspin; you do have all summer to work on it after all.

What was your kiddo’s first bowling experience like?
