Oregon Ballet Theatre School’s Summer Camps and Classes for girls and boys offer a variety of programs for young creatives. Students receive exemplary training from our world-class dance facilities in West Linn and Portland, emphasizing pure classical technique.
Summer Camp (ages 8-11)
In addition to a daily ballet class, students experience classes and workshops that fuel creativity, expression, and imagination through improvisation, compositional processes, and dance forms. The workshops will lead to an informal, in studio showing for parents on the last day of the camp.
Themed Camps (ages 5-7)
Your young creative will discover magical worlds through the stories and music that children adore. Each session includes a daily ballet class, opportunities to explore and create dance, as well as arts and crafts. These camps culminate in an informal studio performance.
Pre-Ballet & Children’s Beginning Ballet (ages 3-7)
Students are taught to connect imagery with movement and begin to develop coordination, listening skills, and musicality.
Oregon Ballet Theatre School is offering young dancers preparing to begin pointe a special four-week workshop. Boys are invited to join the workshop as well as there will be no actual pointe work and much of the strengthening exercises will benefit all dancers in other aspects of their technique such as turns and jumps.
Youth Absolute Beginning Ballet (ages 11-15)
Gain strength, balance and grace by learning the very basics of ballet.
