Just when you thought you’d had your fill of marmalade sandwiches, Britain’s beloved bear from Peru is coming back to American screens in the New Year. Warner Bros. Pictures will release Paddington 2 on Jan. 12, 2018 nationwide in the much-anticipated sequel to the first Paddington film’s stunning success.

Ben Whitshaw (Cloud Atlas, Spectre) returns as the voice of the lovable, if oft-clumsy Paddington Bear with a penchant for marmalade sandwiches and writing letters to his Peruvian Aunt Lucy, who still lives in the jungles on the South American continent, voiced by Imelda Staunton. (You might remember Staunton as the terrifyingly saccharine Dolores Umbridge from the Harry Potter films.)

It’s his Aunt Lucy that plays into the story of Paddington 2, as Paddington is on the hunt for the perfect present for his Aunt Lucy’s 100th birthday. Along the way of course, our adorably ursine friend runs into a number of hilarious twists and turns, as you can see from this hilarious clip from Paddington 2, exclusive to Red Tricycle. Watch below as Paddington attempts (keyword being “attempts”) to wash the windows at number 32 Windsor Gardens.

Paddington 2 opens in theatres everywhere on Jan. 12, 2018. Until then, you can follow all the fun on social media with hashtag #Paddington2. I for one, cannot wait—and neither can my 4-and-a-half-year-old Paddington Bear fan at home. Guess I’d better stock back up on marmalade!
