It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month and everyone’s getting involved in any way they can. While some choose to walk for their cause, others like to don pink gear, while others like us at Red Tricycle opt to show our support for breast cancer awareness month by pinkifying our foods. We’r te the first to admit that when we think of pink, we didn’t immediately think of food, but much to our surprise there are tons of ways to make food pink. We loved getting our kids involved with these fun food projects and after October leaves us in the dust, you can still make these fun food recipes — they’re good all year long!

Frothy Raspberry Soup
Anyone can blend so don’t be afraid to try this simple, cool and creamy, raspberry soup. Perfect when you want something light and fresh on a fall day.

Beet and Goat Cheese Risotto
Surprisingly, risotto is not just a dish made by professional chefs and can easily be mastered by moms and dads just like you. Kids will love eating this bright pink dish and they will never know that there are beets inside. Its a yummy and wholesome dinner or side dish!

Pink Heart Salad
This salad is playful, beautiful, flavorful, and packed with nutrients. You may be wondering what the pink heart is made out of. Well, they are micro greens and they can actually be found at Whole Foods or Trader Joes, but if you can’t find them the Healthy, Happy Life blog suggests other pink alternatives that are equally delicious and visually appealing. The kiddos can help place all the salad toppings.

Beet Deviled Eggs
This is a wonderfully creative appetizer to bring to a Breast Cancer Fundraiser or any get together. Dying the eggs takes a couple hours, so set the eggs in the beet juice before you need to run some errands or pick up the kids from school.

Blush and Bashful Marshmallows
Pink marshmallows serve as a great dessert for the home or a party. Our friends at Treats creates the different pink layers by using both blackberries and raspberries but if you want to make it easy on yourself just go for one shake of pink!

Chocolate Swirled Pink Peppermint Pie
The pretty pink peppermint and chocolate swirls will grab any hungry critter, big or small, at first glance! Take a look at the recipe before diving in because you might not have a few of the ingredients (like Peppermint extract or a bag of semi-sweet chocolate morsels), but don’t worry they can all be found at your local grocery store.

Pink Lemon Poppy Seed Cake
What’s hiding under that hot pink icing? A delicious poppy seed speckled lemon cake. Our friends at Adventures Heart give the low down on how to make this stunning cake. Can you say, Get in my belly?

Popsicles with Roasted Strawberry and Coconut Milk
Phew! This recipe for roasted strawberry and coconut milk popsicles only requires three ingredients and it’s a deliciously cool treat. Try to find pink Popsicle sticks to amp up the pink pizazz!

Coconut Macaroons
These macaroons take only 10 to 15 minutes to make and they are melt in your mouth delish. Becky Bakewell (how awesomely appropriate is her name?!) dipped hers in pink strawberry chocolate and added pink sprinkles to make these dollops a perfect dessert to celebrate breast cancer month.

Cupcakes
Last but certainly not least comes the classic cupcake. This is especially for those who don’t have lots of time to spend in the kitchen but still want their treats packed with tastiness. Save your time for the breast cancer ribbon decorations and leave Betty Crocker to the cake mix.
