So you say your kiddo is so far from adulting that you kind of feel like you’ll have a baby forever? Well the Pixar Short Bao may put that feeling to rest. The animated awesomeness, written and directed by Domee Shi, is free on YouTube right now. And you’re going to want to watch it—just grab a box of tissues first.

The mini film, which originally debuted along with Incredibles 2, was recently shortlisted for an Oscar for Best Animated Short. Without dialogue, the short follows an empty nesting mom who somehow creates a magical dumpling. Baby Bao (the dumpling) comes to life, giving her the chance to love and live for someone else.

Like a human kiddo, baby Bao grows up waaaaay too fast. Before you can blink, baby Bao is a little Bao who wants to run off and play soccer with his friends. But this mom, like many others, puts a stop to it.

As little Bao becomes a teenager he does what just about every adolescent does, he completely ignores and alienates his ever-loving mama. Eventually Bao grows up, brings a would-be wife home and…gets eaten by his mother?

Okay, so that’s not exactly a real-life ending. You’ll just have to watch it above to see how it all turns out. This touching tale is a can’t miss that every parent needs to see—and it’s available for free on YouTube through Monday, Dec. 24.
