Flu season is upon us and it can be pretty awkward for parents to handle situations when strangers, or even loved ones, want to manhandle your new bundle of joy––especially if your little one can’t get a flu shot yet. That’s why you need this hilarious “please don’t touch me” baby onesie that says it all!

Etsy shop TailoredDissent has designed this outfit in both pink and black with a strong message to people even considering touching your baby with their germ-infested hands: back off! While the message comes across bold and even a little funny, the reason behind it is quite serious.

The American Academy of Pediatrics does not recommend the flu shot for infants under 6 months of age because their bodies are not equipped to handle it just yet. Because of this and their developing immune systems, little ones are the most vulnerable and may not be able to fight the flu virus if they come into contact with it.

Due to the record-setting flu season last year, all parents need to protect their kids as best as possible heading into this year’s season. Family members six months and older should receive the flu shot no later than the end of October (per the AAP), and everyone should practice healthy hand-washing habits to keep germs at bay.

And of course, limit contact with everyone when you have a baby in the house who cannot receive the flu shot! If you don’t know how to tell someone to stay hands off, just point to the onesie and let it speak for itself.
