the scoop:

Check out resident beavers, blackbirds and other wandering mammals and migratory birds in this urban wetland oasis for Nature Day in the Park.  The community is invited to explore and learn about Pioneer Park and its wild inhabitants from staff and volunteers and take part in interactive nature-based activities, including a self-guided nature scavenger hunt, as well as native flower specimens to check out.  Park rangers will be on hand to answer any burning questions.  Stick around for the park dedication, with a ribbon cutting ceremony and hot dogs, from 1-3 p.m. to celebrate the park’s new play structure and trails.
