Portland is home to some very cool dads. One part hero and two parts role model, our cool dads are an impressive array of men living, working and raising their kids in this fair city. Read on to discover cool dads who make our city more awesome.

Gabriel Rucker

Gabriel Rucker, Owner & Chef, Le Pigeon and Little Bird Bistro

Two is a magic number for Gabriel Rucker. He has two restaurants, two James Beard awards (holla!), his sweet son is two and his wife is expanding their flock with baby two in September (this time a chick). 2013 is sure to be rich and satisfying with more duck following, truck watching, SF Giants cheering, and post-bath bed wrestling with his toddler son. Plus! Gabe’s first ever cookbook, which we all know is certain to fly off the shelf, is coming out this year. Portlander’s are proud as peacocks of Gabriel Rucker (and so grateful for all the yummy meals) and here’s hoping this next chapter makes him happy as a lark.

To all the Top Pops and Rad Dads out there in Portland, we salute you as well! Let us know who else we should add to our list in the comment section below.
