Imagine a morning, afternoon or even a whole day spent with your best mom friend and your kids, with something fun enough for all of you to get excited about. Sound like a dream? Think again. Read on for mom date ideas around Portland that you can spend with your besties.

Mt. Tabor Adventures

On a dry day (or even a wet one), there’s nothing quite like hoofing it up to the top of Mt. Tabor for some exercise and beautiful views. On the way back down, stop at the playground surrounded by tall fir trees. Now that you’ve worked up an appetite, stop at nearby Cheese Bar for a snack or a meal. Moms can get a fancy cheese board (with a glass of rosé, if so inclined), while the kiddos can do grilled cheese with Hot Lips soda. Or order them their own cheese board: the friendly staff won’t steer those young palates wrong. If fancy cheese isn’t your thing, check out the patio at Caldera Public House, where kids’ cheese course would be a quesadilla with tater tots.
