the scoop:

Meet with more than 20 nonprofit organizations that offer free and low-cost services to families! The Family Resource Fair features engaging displays, activities for children and information for adults. Exhibits highlight a wide range of topics including children’s healthcare, educational support for kids of all abilities, nutritional services, fine arts, mentoring and more.

Families are encouraged to visit tables and talk with representatives about programs and services. Families who visit five tables will receive one free raffle ticket. Drawing prizes include tickets to the Oregon Zoo; passes to the Northwest Children’s Theater; kids’ birthday party packages at Young Art, Sunset Lanes, and John’s Incredible Pizza; and much more.

Children attending the fair will receive one free book while supplies last. In addition, children ages three to seven years old, not already tested in other programs, can receive free vision screenings. Early screenings are critical so that children receive eye exam referrals before they begin formal reading instruction.
