Halle Smith

"What I’m most looking forward to this fall with my family is our annual trip out to the pumpkin patch. We especially like Rasmussen Farms’ Pumpkin Funland just south of Hood River, with views of mountains in the distance, a corn maze, fall treats and pumpkin bowling. We’ll time our visit to coincide with one of the gorge’s great festivals, like the Hood River Valley Harvest Fest. That way, we can make a day of it by starting early and seeing the waterfalls and fall color along the Historic Columbia River Highway, then stopping in Hood River for lunch and festival fun. After stocking up on pears and apples at fruit stands along the Hood River County Fruit Loop, we’ll spend the afternoon picking—and bowling with—pumpkins at Rasmussen Farms."
