It’s not every day that you see a bunch of people sprinting down the Eastside Esplanade wearing superhero costumes. Wait. Scratch that. This is Portland, so you do see stuff like that fairly often. But this weekend it’s for a great event: The Superhero Fun Run benefit. Want more costumes? Head over to the ever-popular Mississippi Fair. Or, if you’re looking for more sports, the Portland Waiter Races are always a highlight of the downtown Bastille Day celebration. This year the fête will be taking over Director Park, and it is as entertaining for kids as it is delicious for parents. Avoir un bon weekend!
