Ice Age Collision Course Movie Release Party
The prehistoric cast of Ice Age is back! Join the celebration with a movie release party where where you can craft your own saber toothed tiger (Diego), win movie tickets to an advanced screening, enjoy some sweet treats and take home some movie freebies! Kid’s Obstacle Challenge
This one to two mile obstacle challenge is the one and only race where kids from ages 5-16 own the course. Rope swing into a giant mud pit, army crawl through tough terrain, scale up rugged cargo nets, and slide into a muddy paradise! Don’t miss the chance for your kiddos to push their limits, have fun and, of course, get covered in mud! Parents are welcome to accompany their child through the course at no extra cost! Opera a la Cart
Inspired by Portland’s famous food cart culture, Opera a la Cart is Portland Opera’s new pop-up performance venue. The cart will feature a fold-out stage and a “menu” of operatic specials, from arias to duets to ensembles. It’s the perfect way to intro your little sopranos to the art of opera. Portland Vintage Racing Festival
More than 200 historic sports cars will grace the Portland International Raceway road course during SVRA’s second annual Portland Vintage Racing Festival. Zoom away! Fri., Sat. & Sun., 9 a.m. North Portland. $10/person; children 12 and under are free. All ages. Event details.

Outdoor Movie: The Sandlot
Your Sunday evening plans just got interesting: spread out your blanket and pack up a picnic or bring some coin for the food trucks, and get ready to watch a movie al fresco. Tonight’s flick is baseball-themed: The Sandlot. Pre-movie entertainment (at 6:30 p.m.) with Chicha music from Oleada. Movies begin at dusk. Get there early to get a good spot. Worth the Drive

Superhero 5k Race/Walk
Join Candlelighters to raise funds and support for children battling childhood cancer and their families at the SUPERHERO 5k race/walk. Racers are encouraged to run, walk or fly to the event in their favorite action hero costume. It will also feature a 1-mile kid’s Villain Chase and a SUPERHERO Festival will follow the races.
