Attend ArtSplash Art Show and Sale
ArtSplash, presented by the Tualatin Arts Advisory Committee, is an art show and sale held at the beautiful Lake of the Commons in Tualatin, Oregon. Tualatin is located just nine miles south of Portland, Oregon. ArtSplash features over 60 Northwest artists showcasing their talents in a variety of mediums, including painting, photography, glass, ceramics, wood, jewelry, textiles and more. Fri., Sat. & Sun. Check Out the Wahl Grooming Tour
Grab dad and take him to get trimmed! Portland is the No. 9 Most Facial Hair Friendly City in America. To celebrate, men’s grooming leader Wahl will be at Pioneer Square on Friday. A 30-foot mobile barbershop will be parked at 701 SW 6th Ave. from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m., and Master Barbers will be on hand offering free facial hair trims while seeking out the guy with the best scruff to represent the city as Wahl Man of Portland. That guy will win $500 and go on to compete for the ultimate title of Wahl Man of the Year. The event is part of a 10-city facial hair trimming tour, and also supports a good cause. July’s Second Saturday event will become ‘Design Zone Day,’ and allow inquisitive minds to engineer and explore their own creativity. Design Zone is a highly interactive, hands-on exhibition where visitors can explore concepts highlighting the importance of science and mathematical thinking in areas critical to building creativity and innovation, especially in art, music and engineering.
