Kids Drive Big Rigs at Dozer Day
Now in its 11th year, this event welcomes kids to sit in – and operate – trucks, dozers, excavators and other big machines, with the help of a pro, of course. In addition to the big rigs, families can enjoy food, music, pipe crawls, tire crawls, digging for treasures (including real gemstones), and other fun giveaways. Garbage trucks, ambulances and even firetrucks will be available for the curious little ones. Money raised at Dozer Day benefits a variety of children’s charities, including schools, little leagues, PTAs and other well-deserving non-profits. And to make the deal just a little sweeter, all young “diggers” get to collect stickers from sponsors throughout the day and take home an official hardhat. Sat.&Sun., 11 a.m.-4 p.m., $8-$10 advance; $11-$13 day of event; free for kids under 2; Parking is $6 cash only, All Ages. Event details.
