Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Starlight Parade 
It may be past the munchkins’ bedtimes, but it’s worth it. The annual PGE/SOLV Starlight Parade, a tradition since the early 1900s, will see more than 100 glittering, twinkling entries covering everything from drill teams and marching bands to day-glo umbrellas and floodlit floats. They Will Rock You at the Caveman Kidz Corner
Bring your kids for the first ever Caveman Kidz Corner, where you and your kids will learn about fossils, rocks and meteorites. Each Kidz Corner has a theme, and the first one is a presentation of the store, the kids’ section of the store and a fun fossil activity. All kids must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18. No food or drinks allowed (water is okay). All kids will leave with a fun little prize. Reservations are required for yourself and your kids. Sun., 2-3 p.m., Free, Ages 5-12. Event details.

Have Purposeful Fun at Family Adventure Day
Join the German International School for Family Adventure Day, with games, crafts, scavenger hunts and face painting. A Lemonade Stand will be set up to raise money to buy new shoes for the Bukesa Children’s Home in Uganda. Sat., 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Free, Ages 3-12. Event details.

Party Down with The Alphabeticians
The Alphabeticians are throwing their biggest party ever to celebrate their 5th birthday and the release of their 3rd CD, Pants! For their birthday, they will be playing with a five-piece band for the first time ever, joined by Scott Crabtree on drums, Tallullah’s Daddy on bass and Pointed Man on keyboard, guitar, accordion, trumpet and – a blender(!?).
