If you’ve never been to the West Coast Giant Pumpkin Regatta, then you’ve never seen anyone race a giant pumpkin across a lake while dressed as the tooth fairy. Well, this weekend you have your chance. And who-who-who wants to learn about owls? Your little ones do, that’s who. Go on a night prowl to learn more about our beaked buddies. Or take the family to the Oregon coast and learn why fungi can be fun. If all else fails, you can build a giant LEGO SpongeBob in Tigard.
Have little owlets at home that would love to learn about nighttime predators? Bring your family for a free classroom talk and evening hike all about owls. Fri. 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Whitaker Ponds Natural Area. $5 donation. Advanced registration required. Children 5-15 with adult. Event details.
