It’s the last weekend before Halloween and everyone is itching to dress up, get out and be silly. So, what are you waiting for? Throw on a costume, grab the whole posse and head out to one of these festive celebrations from the Sellwood/Moreland Monster March costumed parade to Howloween at the Zoo. Or, if a getaway sounds more like your speed, take a scenic drive to the Tillamook Forest Center to ogle the vibrant autumn foliage and sip cider at the Fall Forest Fest.

Monster Mash Halloween Party
Party in NoPo with Peninsula Park’s Halloween Monster Mash.  In addition to dancing your costumed tails off, activities will include a visit from local firefighters, a petting zoo, spooky stories and silly party games with candy and prizes.  Fri.,6–8:30 p.m. free, All Ages. Event details.

Disney on Ice “Rockin’ Ever After” Show
Marvel at kids’ favorite fairy tale characters, from Brave, Tangled, Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast, as they dance, glide and perform incredulous acrobatic feats on ice. Spellbinding scenery and familiar tunes, along with Mickey, Minnie and the rest of the club, will be there to keep the kids cheering, clapping and groovin’ in their seats. Halloween-Themed Kids’ Morning Skate
Costume contests and spooky tunes will help set the mood for this special Halloween-themed morning skate, for kids 10 and under. Rink attire rules still apply for safety reasons, such as no hats, sunglasses or items tied around the neck or waist. Monster March Kids’ Parade
Zombies, animals and superheroes will take over the streets of Sellwood/Westmoreland this Sunday!  You have been warned — and invited.  The annual parade of munchkins and their handlers begins at Llewellyn Elementary School and loops through the neighborhood in a closed-off, safe route.  Participating businesses will hand out treats. Sun., 3 p.m., Llewellyn Elementary School (start at SE 14th Ave. and Talbot), free. All Ages. Event details.

Howloween at the Zoo
Howloween at the Zoo offers your little wild creatures a chance to wear their costumes to the zoo and an educational scavenger hunt to learn about animals of the world and habitats. Goodie bags filled with candy and prizes for completing the hunt will be handed out at the zoo’s exit. Sat. & Sun., 11 a.m.–4 p.m., free with admission, $8.50-$11.50; free for children 2 and under. Eek! Week at the Portland Children’s Museum
This weekend kicks off Eek! Week with six days of parties, crafts, costumes, pumpkins and of course, trick-or-treating.  Saturday is the Boo Bash, free and open to museum members with activities including pumpkin croquet, a costume parade and a pumpkin scavenger hunt. Sunday is the Museum Monster Mash with the Greasy Kids Stuff DJs spinning Halloween party tunes. Kids can also make trick-or-treat craft bags and listen to spooky stories. Sat. 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.; 9 a.m.–5 p.m., Sun. Event details.

Great Pumpkin Event at PSU Farmers Market
Bring your kids and your carving skills down to the annual Great Pumpkin Event at Portland Farmers Market. Kids and adults can enter a pumpkin carving contest from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and take part in a children’s costume parade through the market at noon.
