Hit Rose City Comic Con
Portland’s premier pop-culture event, Rose City Comic Con is produced locally with a focus on creating fun for geeks of all ages! With a focus on comics, comic creators, and the creative process, Rose City Comic Con also provides its attendees of all ages with access to gaming, sci-fi, fantasy, cosplay, anime, and everything in between! Don’t forget to bring the kids along because Rose City Jr. is bigger and better than ever! Go On An Aquifer Adventure
Big and little pirates alike are welcome to join us for a family festival all about groundwater! Play fun games and go on a scavenger hunt in search of hidden treasure – not gold, but groundwater, a precious resource that flows beneath your feet! Attend The Empire Strikes Back in Concert
With the help of his new teacher, Yoda, Luke Skywalker grows stronger with the Force, and the Rebel Alliance continues to battle the evil Empire. Free Beginning Ballet Series
The Portland Ballet presents a series of free beginning ballet classes in September for ages 6-9. The series consists of three classes held once a week at TPB’s studio. Sat. Event Details.
Participate in ASO Game Club
The Forest Grove Game Club for Boys and Girls with autism and their families meets on the 2nd Friday of each month at Pacific University, Berglund Hall. A fun evening for the whole family! Games, movie, potluck, and graduate students volunteer their time to help. Fri. Event Details.
Hit Melty Fest
Amazing local chefs teamed up to put together the ultimate chef + food + daytime party with the entire family in mind. That means food from Portland chefs like Peter Cho, Gabriel Rucker, Tommy Habetz, John Gorham Maya Lovelace and more. There will be ice cream, floats, melted and grilled cheese galore. Plus activities for kids and grown ups including live cooking demos, a craft corner with all the creative goodness you could dream of, outdoor games, face painting and live music from local kiddo favorite Micah and Me. Don’t Miss Columbia-Willamette Pagan Pride
This is an all-ages event, free to attend, and ADA accessible! They will gladly accept non-perishable food or toiletry donations to Esther’s Pantry and pet food for The Pongo Fund. Experience Autumn Moon Lantern Viewing
As a finale to the celebration of the Autumn Moon Festival, Lan Su Chinese Garden presents a special Lantern Viewing Evening beginning at 7 p.m. on Saturday, September 14 after the day-long Autumn Moon Festival in the garden. This event will include mooncake samples, a Chinese calligraphy demonstration, a ribbon dance performance by Yu Long of the Seattle Yu Long Academy and a Fire Poi performance with the Polynesian dance troupe from Teva Oriata.
