It’s time to oompah, Portlanders. That’s right: Oktoberfest season is upon us, kicking things off this weekend with the spectacular Mt. Angel celebration. Portland is also celebrating Mexican and Central American independence with a fabulous fiesta in Portland’s living room. You can enjoy canoe rides and treasure hunts at Aquifer Adventure, a pirate-themed family festival about groundwater (fun and ecologically educational.) And the beginning of autumn is the peak of pear harvest and the ideal time to explore fruit stands and attractions all along the Hood River valley’s scenic Fruit Loop.
Belmont Street Fair
