They’ll loan you the clippers and buckets, and the flowers will be wrapped for you before you leave. Prices range from $0.50-1.50 per stem, depending on the variety, with bucket pricing ($15-20 per bucket) at the end of the summer.

Helvetia Lavender Farm
This Hillsboro favorite for Christmas trees goes purple in the summer with two varieties of lavender: English and Lavandin. Drop into the tea pavilion for a lunch of homemade quiche, salad and scones for $20 (by reservation only) or just the tea and scones for $10 (drop-ins welcome). Check out the lavender festival on July 12-14 for live music, artisan booths and all things lavender! If you just want to pick some lavender to scent things at home, for $7 a bundle, the owners will give you a pair of scissors and a bucket and you spend your day wandering rows of flowers and picking some to take home.
