You’ve picked berries at them in June, watched peaches ripen in August, and are gearing up for babies-on-pumpkins in October. There are so many farms near Portland, even if you go to two farms a week, you still won’t hit them all in a year! Over 100 farms nearby to visit, all offering unique produce, farm animals, and more. You can combine several farms into an all-day tour of one area, or just head out to a single one. Read on for six fantastic farm loops to visit!

Marion County Farm Loop

The Marion County Farm loop dips in and around Salem in a tour of 23 farm stops. Check out the hands-on learning activities for kiddos at Ballyntyne Farm, like Mini Paleontologist or Exploring Smells. You can drop the kids off there for a day camp while you check out the offerings at wineries like Honeywood or Vitis Ridge! But don’t stop there. Explore the children’s garden and hobbit door at the Oregon Garden, or enjoy the scratch bakery at French Prairie Gardens. There’s so much you’ll have to make a whole weekend of it!
