You’ve been waiting all year… finally it’s time again for the pirates to invade Portland! Arr, matey, it’s time for the Portland Pirate Festival! Dress to impress in your favorite pirate garb and steer your boat to Cathedral Park. The festivities are happening Saturday and Sunday and tickets can be purchased in advance or at the gate. And Saturday is National Gymnastics Day. This day is intended to increase excitement and raise awareness for the sport of gymnastics and to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network. Many local gymnastics centers will participate by holding open houses and other activities this weekend. Locate a participating center close to you—maybe they have a perfect program for introducing your kids to this great sport! Grand Central Bakery Fair What’s not to love about a bakery fair at Grand Central? Come check out a day filled with demonstrations, contests and activities for the entire family.
