Things get a little more serious at school once you turn five, even when you’re a royal. As it turns out, Prince George will have homework this year as he’s set to begin Year 1 at school, the British equivalent of kindergarten.

Young Prince George will again attend St. Thomas’s Battersea, a private school where his early education will include some amazing extra-curricular lessons in addition to traditional learning, like science, history and geography. Swimming and ballet will be part of his studies this year. Students can also participate in drama classes and choir.

The studying won’t stop at school, however. The students at Prince George’s grade level will be required to do at least ten minutes of homework each night, which will include reading and spelling. In other words, the Duchess Kate and Prince William will soon find themselves in the all-too-relatable homework struggle.

Prince George starts school on Sep. 6, so keep your eyes peeled for those inevitable adorable royal back-to-school photos.
