It looks like Prince William has some very special presents for the royal children. Yep. He might just be the dad of the year, and not because he’s a prince! The dad to three recently returned from a visit to the University of Birmingham with something that almost every kiddo wants—dinosaur coloring books.
While visiting the university to present the first Prince William Award at the National SkillForce Prince William Award Graduation Ceremony, Prince William was given the books by vice-chancellor Sir David Eastwood. The prince joked that he would be the “most popular” father in the country. That is, after giving his kiddos their brand-new dino-filled books.

As he left the @SkillForceUK award ceremony, at the University of Birmingham, Prince William was handed three specially-created colouring books for his kids George, Charlotte and Louis. They show sketches of some of the creatures featured in the @unibirmingham geological museum
The books, which were created for the event (meaning, for Prince William) were sketched by artist Julian Kiely. So what do these very special books include? Reportedly, each book contains sketches of dinosaurs and fossils. They also include drawings of other creatures, such as whales.
While there are only four of these dino books right now, reports have been swirling that the university may consider making more. With plenty of media attention on the event and the books, it’s not surprising that there would be a serious interest in scoring one of these extremely limited edition books.
But for now, the only pint-sized paleontologists paging through these books will be the young royals.
