Whether you just want to see how your city stacks up or you’re considering a move, WalletHub analyzed 180 US cities and came up with a list of 2017’s safest cities in America. So which cities top the list? The top 10 honors go to:

If you’re wondering which cities were the least safe in 2017, they include Jackson, MS, Baton Rouge, LA, Chattanooga, TN, Orlando, FL, Little Rock, AR, Detroit, MI, Oklahoma City, OK, San Bernardino, CA, St. Louis, MO and Fort Lauderdale, FL.
When it comes to some of the surprising specifics measured, Yonkers, New York has the fewest thefts per 1,000 residents, while Salt Lake City had the most and Corpus Christi, Texas had the least amount of hate-crimes per 100,000 residents, while Boston has the most.
