While finding a bakery offering treats that kids will enjoy may not be a difficult task, it is always nice to know where the truly good cupcakes are, and what makes them special for kids. A variety of kid-approved cupcakes frost the Bay Area landscape, some featuring more fruits or frosting than others, and some where the sprinkles are the star. Cupcake decorating can also be found around the Bay, as well as trucks that deliver cupcakes to a neighborhood near you. Big, small and bundt cake shaped, these chocolate, vanilla and red velvet flavored treats are sure to please the smallest of cupcake critics.

Girls are partial to the Prom Queen (strawberry cake and strawberry buttercream) for its pretty hue. Their cupcakes are pretty in pink, vanilla and cocoa!

Nothing Bundt Cakes
Though not technically a cupcake, kids can eat a whole bundt cake in the form of a mini Bundtlet or Bundtini, in their traditional cake flavors. Those include Chocolate Chocolate Chip, White Chocolate Raspberry and Marble. They are also generous with the drizzled frosting, which is what kids love most about cupcakes anyway! Sounds like nothing but fun cakes.

SusieCakes
To many kids a cupcake is just a vehicle for eating frosting, since that is the part they always eat first. These cupcakes take that idea one step further, by not only topping their menu of treats with frosting, but filling them with the creamed sugar confection as well. Vanilla, chocolate and lemon flavors abound, in standard and mini-sized cupcakes too. Kids can have their cupcake, and eat their frosting too.
