It’s Easter Weekend and the Bay Area is hopping with egg hunts, bunny brunches, and a whole lot more. And if you’ve gathered all your eggs (it’s okay, they can go in one basket) try a story time in the botanical gardens, a full moon walk in the redwoods, or visit a gallery and make some art. Hop on!

Eggstravaganza 2015
It wouldn’t be Easter if we didn’t have an egg hunt in the city’s biggest park!  We’re talking about Golden Gate Park of course, and their Spring Eggstravaganza. This annual celebration includes carnival rides, games, egg hunts, live entertainment, and a BBQ competition between Rec and Park, SF Police and SF Fire departments! Union Street Easter Parade & Spring Celebration
When it comes to street festivals, nobody does it like San Francisco. From rollerblading cows to a Bunny Hop flash mob, the 24th Annual Union Street Easter Parade & Spring Celebration is no exception. Join in the jubilee of rides, crafts, food, and more. Free Day at the Asian Art Museum
Part of Target’s First Free Sunday program, the Asian Art Museum is open, totally free, and totally awesome. In addition to touring the regular galleries and exhibits there will be storytelling sessions throughout the day, architecture tours, and even a family friendly yoga class! Story Time at the SF Botanical Gardens
Enjoy a story at the SF Botanical Gardens Library, and then take a walk around the gardens on a 30-minute docent led tour. The library houses an excellent collection of kid’s books on plants, natural history, science, and nature-related myths and stories. Bring a lunch and enjoy the gardens for the afternoon (story time is free, garden admission fees apply to enter the gardens after). Sun., 10:30-11:30 a.m. Golden Gate Park. Free. 4-8. Event details.

Bunny Weekend at Fairyland

Great Egg Hunt at the Dunsmuir Hellman Estate
Think of it like an Easter egg hunt held at the East Bay version of Downton Abbey. The beautiful Dunsmuir-Hellman makes a perfect backdrop for your Easter pics, and this is the kind of place you can really wear a bonnet!  Dancing bunnies, clowns and stilt-walkers, a petting zoo, crafts, egg dying, face painting, an adopt-a-pet area, and a visit from the Easter Bunny make this an affair to remember. See & Make Art at the Richmond Art Center
Join the Richmond Art Center for free, first Saturday bilingual art tours. Enjoy a guided tour of the galleries and a hands-on art making activity. Please meet the group in the Madeline F. Downtown Campbell Eggstravaganza and Bunnies & Bonnets Parade
Downtown Campbell knows a thing or two about celebrating Easter. Start off at the Eggstravaganza, the annual egg hunt, which includes bouncy houses, face painting,  and pictures with the Easter Bunny. Kids 1-4 get their own fenced in area. Grab a donut and some coffee, then follow a parade bunny to score a spot along the sidewalk for the Bunnies and Bonnets parade. Bunny Breakfast and Egg Hunt
The Las Gallinas Lions Club will host an egg hunt for the kiddos, and after the egg hunt you can hop on over to the Marinwood Community Center for a hearty breakfast with the Easter Bunny! Easter Celebration at the Marin Country Mart
