Kidfest at the SF Zoo It’s time for Kidsfest 2014: Monkey Madness. Head to the SF Zoo for a day of music, dancing, arts and crafts, magicians, face-painting, and more. Enjoy private access to the awesome new playground, the Dentzel Carousel, the Fisher Family Children’s Zoo, and the Little Puffer Steam Train. Jack’s Night Market Have dinner outside at Jack London Square this Friday! Western Day at the B.O.K. Ranch The 29th annual B.O.K. Ranch Western Day fundraiser will feature horse riding demos, BBQ lunch by the Redwood City Fire Department, carnival games, live music, and more! All proceeds benefit the ranch’s therapeutic riding program which provides adaptive horseback riding lessons to children and adults with special needs, so grab your cowboy hats and get your little ponies there pronto! San Jose Museum of Art’s Anniversary Community Day SJMA’s is turning 45 and your whole family is invited to the party. Lots of hands-on art projects and family music will be happening throughtout the day, from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. After 4, the music takes on a more grown up vibe and cocktails will be served (but kids are still welcome!) Open Days Garden Tour Marin County Take the kids on a four-garden tour of some of the finest home gardens in all of Marin. The Garden Conservancy’s Open Days Marin County means that you can stop in and smell the roses at designated gardens in Sausalito, Belvedere, and Tiburon including the Jardin mar Centro and Pelicano gardens. Admission to each garden is separate and open hours vary, so you can visit on your own pace and visit one or all four. Sat, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Marin County: Tiburon, Belvedere, and Sausalito. $5.
