Community Day at the Exploratorium
All visitors can pay what you wish on Exploratorium’s yearly Community Days, when museum entry is on a first-come, first-served basis. This day celebrates Moms! Sun. Event details

Playground2Playground Family Walk
Join Walk San Francisco for a walking adventure that connects two playgrounds. First, play at Cabrillo Playground in the Outer Richmond. Then hike through Golden Gate Park at a leisurely pace to the 45th Avenue Playground/Boat Picnic Area. Play some more and then hike back. Snacks provided at both playgrounds. This is appropriate for kids of all ages, but will likely tend toward the younger set since it’s only a 2.25 mile hike roundtrip (strollers recommended for the really little ones).  Sat. Spring Family Day
Spring Family Day is a free community event for all ages at the Richmond Art Center. Head to the courtyard for an afternoon for eco-conscious artmaking, music and food. Sat. Event details

Family Fun Fest
Since 2004, the annual Family Fun Festival has brought you a day of healthy, family fun in the park. This event is located right next to the Ecology Center Downtown Berkeley Farmers’ Market. There are free activities for everyone to enjoy including live music, art, face painting, creative reuse booths and giveaways. Sat. Event details


“Almost” Mother’s Day Kids Concert
Have a blast at the “Almost” Mother’s Day Concert, featuring Andy Z & the Andyland Band! Families will enjoy a super fun kids concert, an inflatable playland and can also create a Mother’s Day gift in the craft area. Sat. Event details

Family Sundays at the Cantor Art Gallery
Second Sunday is a free, family-focused day of art talks, hands-on art making and gallery adventures for visitors of all ages at the Cantor and the Anderson Collection. Registration is not required and families can tailor their museum experience based on their schedule and the activities that interest them the most. Talks start at 11:30 a.m. and continue throughout the day on the half hour through 3 p.m. Sun. Event details

This year’s Stars on Ice presented by Musselman’s tour will ensure skating fans don’t suffer from the post-Olympics blues. Join NatureBridge Golden Gate and create sunset-inspired works of art! You and your family will hike to a beautiful vista and make gorgeous, two-dimensional art pieces to remember your evening.
