Latinx Engineering Day from the Exploratorium
The SF Bay Area Chapter of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers and the Exploratorium present Meet the Engineers—a conversation with professionals working in a variety of engineering disciplines. This free, bilingual (Spanish/English) program is intended for audiences of all ages, from creative children who love to make things to teens and young adults interested in engineering careers to professionals curious about their colleagues’ projects. Children’s Fairyland Presents Celebrity Story Time
Celebrate Children’s Fairyland Platinum Jubilee with a live virtual event starting at 6:30 p.m. It’s called “Children’s Fairyland presents Celebrity Story Time” and, yes, there will be celebrities and, yes, there will be stories. Check Out the Outdoor Exhibits
Visit the outdoor exhibits at the Oakland Aviation Museum and see planes take off from nearby Oakland Airport. Fri.-Sun. Event details.
The de Young Is Open and Free
Continuing the popular Free Saturdays program, general admission to the de Young and Legion of Honor museums will be free for residents of the nine Bay Area counties with a valid photo ID or postmarked envelope bearing their home address. Drive-In Movies at the Port of Redwood City
It’s the last weekend you can head to the Port to enjoy the drive-in movie experience of yesteryear with our beautiful waterfront as a backdrop! All you need is a vehicle, a reservation, and an FM radio tuner. There will be two feature films each Friday and Saturday evenings, one at 6 p.m. and another at 8:30 p.m. Fri.-Sat. Event details.
