This fall I’m hoping to stomp in lots and lots of puddles with my kids! (Clearly, I’m counting on the much-talked-about El Niño coming to California!) Besides that, family plans include camping at the cool, dark, and redwood-covered Butano State Park near Pescadero (the walk-in campsites are the best), hiking the stunningly-scenic Coastal Trail in Marin (ending up at the Pelican Inn for lunch), visiting the Tolay Fall Festivalin Sonoma County, and making fabulous Halloween costumes with my kids.
