How it Happened
After the birth of her daughter Sophia, founder Diana Rothschild faced the challenges that so many working parents tackle: a live-work balance that would allow her professional life to remain intact without compromising her family time. The existing model of NextSpace, a co-working space with locations throughout the Bay Area, seemed to be a perfect match. She created NextKids to be a space where professionals could collaborate but still have childcare—right next-door!

The Work Space: NextSpace Coworking
The work space boasts 4,000 square feet that includes 24/7 access for members (non-members have access from 8:30 am-5:30 pm), conference room, printers, wi-fi, coffee, tea, phone booths, pumping stations for nursing moms, and unlimited day passes to work from seven other Bay Area locations. Note: only NextKids currently offers childcare.

The Play Space Next Door: NextKids Carespace
The space spans 2,500 square feet for your little ones from three months to three years old to romp around in. With reading nooks, a built-in hyper-awesome tunnel, toys, art space, a secret door just their size, collaborative group experience and buddy play, means your kids won’t want to leave when the workday is done! Parents are encouraged to drop-in for cuddles, breastfeeding breaks, and play time. Secure separate space for both babies and toddlers, as well as mixed play areas, and quiet places for nursing moms to put their little ones to nap, makes this place a paradise for parents and their kids alike.

Each parent participates in 1 hour of weekly classroom co-op so that you can see your kiddos thrive!
