10. Ride the Rails or the Carousel at Vasona Park

Train lovers of all ages will love the scenic ride through Vasona Park on the Billy Jones Wildcat Railroad. Park at Oak Meadow Park (parking fee: $6) or on University Avenue (free) and it is just a short walk past the playground to the carousel and train depot. Tickets for the train and carousel are $2 per person and kids 2 and under ride free with a paying adult. After your ride, head back to Oak Meadow Park and climb aboard the fire truck or the real, decommissioned USAF T-33 jet!
