We’re in the run up towards Halloween and the events are piling up. See if you can pull off the Boo at the Zoo coup and catch both SF and Oakland versions before the sun sets. At Ashkenaz in Berkeley, they make use of all that great space for a Halloween Cabaret Carnival with a rockabilly band, carnival games, and evil laugh contest (muahahahah!). Your little dukes and duchesses will love the Haight’s Halloween Hootenanny’s medieval times theme, and the Playmates Co-op Harvest Festival is for those who want to have a good time while supporting a worthy cause. Finally, air out those costumes one more time before the Big Day at Children’s Fairyland, with balloon-twisting, bouncy castles, rides, treats and goodies. When you’re done with all that, visit City College’s garage sale and save a buck and promote equal access to education.
