Feeling like you’re suffering from Mommy Meltdown because you’ve hit every playground, museum, library and activity center in the known galaxy? Then it’s time to head across the Golden Gate and score some cool mom points at Sausalito’s Harmonia. Jennifer Adler, Sausalito resident and yoga guru, has transformed the once famous Plant Studio, where artists from Fleetwood Mac to Santana recorded some of their biggest hits, into one of the North Bay’s destinations for fun, family friendly activities
Marin Summer Music Camps
Where better to have a Camp Rock moment than in the historic Record Plant Studio? Harmonia has partnered with the Blue Bear School of Music to provide your little crooners and rockers with classes to help them hit those high notes. From the Marin Girls Rock! and Rock U camps, your little ones will receive a week-long musical education with a Friday night concert to showcase their talents.
And the fun doesn’t stop there. Classes pick up again once school starts. For more information about Fall classes, visit the Blue Bear School of Music’s website.
Saturday Dance Parties
So here’s the deal on the weekly Saturday Dance Parties: your little ones can get their groove on in the famous Garden studio and receive a 45-minute dance class all while you schmooze with the other parents over a little bubbly and o.j. Not too shabby for a Saturday morning!
You can purchase your tickets online for as little as $25 and save when you purchase a five Dance Party Pass. For ticket information, visit their Eventbrite page here.
What about the us?
Hey, the children are having a blast, you deserve to as well. Harmonia offers parents a chance to relax while the kids are at play. Who woulda thunk it? You get to sip on mimosas during your little one’s dance party, take a seat in the Garden or Relaxation room and still amuse yourself as your kiddo shimmies to disco. And if that isn’t enough, Harmonia offers yoga and live music entertainment for those rare days you find a babysitter! Check out their calendar for upcoming events.
